Over the past 2 decades LikeWear has never stopped creating or evolving. And now is no different.
20 years ago Lisa started sewing as a hobby. With Ken’s collaboration, that pastime grew into a business that evolved from officially licensed brands, to direct sales, to wholesale, to retail, to birthday parties, to multi-store locations and to SpiritWear.
The decision to close the store did not come easily. LikeWear has literally been a second home to us - maybe more like a first home as we’ve spent more time at LikeWear than at our own house! We have loved being the go-to spot for camp and college apparel, gifts, casual fashion basics and of course, having a full house at our Custom Bar.
But SpiritWear and “LogoWear” in all its forms - school apparel, corporate company stores, non-profit fundraising, mitzvahs, group projects and hosted online web stores - has grown to over 60% of LikeWear’s total sales.
Closing our retail store enables us to streamline and focus our efforts on these higher volume projects and expand this growing part of our business. We’re already setting up a new, cutting edge production facility in Florida so we'll be ready to hit the ground running for the Fall SpiritWear season.
Yes, Florida! Creativity thrives on change and we are making a big one. Although we will be closing our retail store, this summer we will be relocating the design and production aspects of LikeWear to South Florida. We’re excited to keep creating with you as we turn the page to our next chapter.
It’s not the end. It’s a new beginning!
